The vendotronic is just below you. Click on it to select it:
Then double left click it to bring up the inventory stored inside.
The items
will stay gray for a few moments until the full contents are ready to be
displayed:

Highlight ‘CLOTHES MALE’ and then left click. The inventory of male
clothing will appear as a sub list.

Select (M) AN ARMORED SHIRT and left click.

There is a stack of 10 armored shirts in here, each with a purchase price
of 151 credits.
In the status window outlined in red, you will see that you have 2000 credits to start with.
Making certain that the Amount is
set to ‘1’ press the ‘Buy Item’ button.

The number of armored shirts in the vendor is now
9, your cash is down 151 to 1849, and you have an armored shirt in your inventory display
window.
5. In a similar way, buy (M) CAVALLERY BOOTS.
Scroll down and buy (M) HEAVY BODY ARMOR.
Then scroll back up and left click CLOTHES MALE to close that sub-list.
Next, open the SKILL CHEF section and buy 4 FOOD RATION:

6. Buy one BLACKSMITH’S TOOL from the WORKBENCHES & TOOLS section.
Make sure you reset the Amount to 1:

Finally, buy 10 READY IRON INGOTS from the RAW MATERIALS.
You know how to change the Amount.

8. After purchasing you READY IRON INGOTS press the close button on the bottom of the vendor screen.

The things you bought are in your Active Inventory Window.
In your Status Window your credits are down to 1585 and your load is up to 171.
You can carry 600 with this character.
