Harvesting

1. Let’s go harvest some raw materials.

From ‘Stratford Plaza’ take ‘An exit to the west (*WEST*)
From ‘Stratford Plaza Way’ take ‘An exit to the north (*NORTH*)
From ‘Babylon Way West’ take ‘An exit to the east (*EAST*)
From ‘Babylon Way West’ take ‘An exit to the east (*EAST*)
From ‘Babylon Way West Centre’ take ‘An exit to the east (*EAST*)
From ‘Babylon Way Centre’ take ‘An exit to the east (*EAST*)
‘Babylon Way East Centre’ is set up as a demonstration harvesting room.
Find something that looks like a rock and stand near it. Press the ‘Harvest’ button from your skills tab. You can also press the TAB key instead.

2. The rock disappears and a small stack of raw material is placed in your ‘Active Inventory’ window.

Walk around and bash all the rocks you see. Then drag the hammer from your paperdoll.

Equip yourself with the billhooks and harvest the plants as well. Some of the plants do not produce raw material, they are weeds. Polite harvesters pull the weeds. You should have a tidy bundle by now. But, it can be difficult to see just what you have with the ‘Big Icon’ view in the active inventory window. Press the ‘List’ button to change that view.

The raw materials need to be converted to ready materials to be of any use in manufacturing. Fortunately, there are processors here. Pass your cursor over the processors to see what kind they are. The dark blue one is a Glass Processor and converts Raw Silicon into Ready Glass. Stand close to the processor and left double click to process your materials. Silicone is the only raw material that can be converted into two different things, glass and computer chips.
