Seduction

Seducing is a formalized process that, when successful, sets the target in a semi-submissive state that enables the seducer to have their way with the target, intentionally it allows the seducer to have sex with the target. Of course this can also be abused to harm the target. Although a direct attack on the target will immediately break the seduction, however if the seducer has taken measures to prepare for the break of the seduction, for example by leading the target to a lonely place, this may not help much.

 

Seducing

Seducing is relatively easy: Just select the target character and click the Seduce button on your Skill Tab. This action performs a number of checks. If the outcome is not successful, you may try another seduction attempt in 1 minute. If the attempt is successful, you may either try the next attempt in 20 minutes, or if this was the last attempt, you now have the consequences, given below, active. When you seduce a PC you need 3 successful attempts for final success and each attempt may lie no closer than 20 minutes after the predecessor. When you seduce a NPC, one successful attempt is enough. The successful attempts for PCs are stored and one attempt is voided every day. So if you have 2 successes today and get a third one done a few hours later, you have the 3 successes. The next day, you have only 1 successful attempt stored and will have to perform 2 new ones since one attempt is voided by the system.

A seduction attempt is classified as a hostile action and when performed against a summoned demon or a summoner will make the seducer eligible for an attack by the demon.

What happens during seduction? The system performs a number of checks, roughly speaking the following ones:

These five values are expressed as numerical values and then each checked against a random value. This way we get a score of 0 - 5 depending on how many of these checks win and how many loose. If the seducer has at least 3 out of 5 the seduction attempt is a success. If he has less than 2 scores, it's an automatic failure. If he has 2 scores, additional checks are performed giving him more chances to succeed.

If these additional checks fail, then the seduction attempt fails completely.

An experienced seducer takes his own values into account and estimates the targets values and then acts only on targets where he sees a chance for himself. An unsuccessful attempt will create a public text message and many players don't take seducing too kindly so you might find yourself in a hostile situation.

Please note that a seduction spell does not perform these checks. It is a magic action that is checked against the target's magic resistance and if successful is necessary only once,. so it is an immediate seduction.

 

 

Consequences

What happens if a character is seduced by another one? Here is a list of what the seducer can do and what the seduced character can not do:

These effects remain valid for 30 minutes after a successful seduction. If the target is attacked or becomes target of a hostile spell, the seduction is broken. The same consequences apply from a successful seduction spell.
