This section explains the first part of the production process which consists of obtaining raw materials and pre processing them so that they can be used in the final production process. The process consists of the following steps:
The first two steps are usually performed by a harvester or prospector, the third step by a character that specializes in crafting.
Raw Material
In order to get raw materials you have to go into the wilderness. There are 3 categories of raw materials: trees, bushes and rocks. All of these can be found in their specific environment: Rocks are mostly in caves, Trees in the forest and bushes can be found in forest, parks or open fields. Below you find pictures of all of these raw materials and what they provide:

There are also some other trees and bushes. Most trees provide more or less wood, so they are not listed separately in the table. In order to harvest the raw material, you need to equip billhooks for the trees and bushes, and a hammer or mace for the rocks. Once you have it equipped, just stand next to the raw material and click on the Harvest button on your skill page. The raw material will be transferred into your inventory. The amount you harvest depends on your Prospector skill, whether you are wearing a special magical cloth that give you more success when harvesting and your Constitution ability value.
Once in your inventory, the raw material takes a standardized icon with a color code.
Once you have enough Raw
Material in your inventory, you should find a preprocessor, This is a generic
term for a machine that refines a certain raw material so that it can be used by
a craftsman to produce goods. During this process you will loose some amount of
material, due to the refining and cleaning process, so you end up with less
Ready Material than you had Raw Material.
In order to process your Raw materials, just stand next to a pre processor and
double-click it. It takes care of all the Raw Material of it's specific type and
transfers them into Ready Material.
Once the material is processed
you have the Ready Material that can be used by a craftsman. Since Ready
Materials are more "concentrated" than Raw Materials, they are easier to carry.
Most merchants sell Ready Materials to craftsmen.
This table contains a row for every material showing the process and the preprocessor involved. As you can see all objects are color coded and therefore easily recognized once you got used to the color code.

When you have the Ready Material, you can either sell them to craftsmen, or, if
your character also has manufacturing skills, proceed to the next step and
produce items.
