Renting

When you can't afford a house, or a co ownership, renting may be a solution. A house owner can hand out rental contracts which makes the contract partner a renter in his house. Those contracts are regular location based contracts. The rent agreed on in this contract is paid every day at server restart. If the renter can not pay his rent, nothing happens but the contract in the possession of the house owner will show that the renter did not pay his rent. what the house owner does is up to him. He can let the renter in the house or destroy the contract. In that case all the belongings of the renter are packed and stored in his vault. The same is true if the renter destroys his contract.

When renting out, the house owner should usually create a separate lock at the door of the room that is to be given to the renter and hand him the key or multiple keys. The renter can not create new keys by himself. The house owner should also give the renter a key to the house door.

The house owner does not have access to the objects the renter locks down. Since this can happen anywhere in the house, a malicious renter may be a problem, but since the house owner can remove the renter anytime by destroying the contract, most renters won't cause harm or face the consequences.

The house owner may agree with the renter to let him place a vendor in the houses entry room to let the renter perform business in the house. As a matter of fact it is possible to rent out a house solely for the purpose of locking down vendors of renters, which effectively creates a privately run shopping center. Since the number of renters is not restricted and renters have less rights than Co Owners, this might a good solution for exactly this purpose.
