Many day to day tasks in a bar are done by the bar owners, a bar is usually run in co ownership, but sometimes it is opportune to have somebody else do the simple work Some tasks are meant to be done by other characters, so there need to be a means of organizing this kind of work. To make sure the participating characters are protected from cheating as much as possible, there are contracts. All contracts have the same basic features and are operated very similarly, but are used in different situation and they fulfill different purposes.
In order to make a contract between two characters, you first must have a blank contract. Scribes with Oratory Skill can create empty contracts and sell them. You have to buy a contract of the type you need and then usually prepare it first. When you double-click a contract, you get the following dialog:

The first things you have to do is prepare the contract with the value and location. This is like filling out a contract with everything except the name of the partner. First you fill out the edit box at the top with the price or salary, depending on the contract. In the case of an employer/employee contract, this is the amount you, the employer, pays to the employee every day at server restart. The following table lists all kinds of contracts and what the sum in that field means.
| Contract | Meaning Of Salary Field |
| Simple Location | Payment for 10 minutes of being present in the house |
| General / Street Pimp | Payment the prostitute makes to the pimp for every customer she makes when she is in a street pimping situation |
| Fight | Not Used |
| Gardener | Payment per plant locked down |
| Brothel Pimp | Payment the prostitute makes to the pimp for every customer she makes when she is in a location pimping situation |
| Sex Show | Payment for 10 minutes of public sex in the bar |
| Rent | Payment the renter makes to the house owner every day |
| Stripper | Payment for 10 minutes of stripping in the bar |
Once you have set the value, you need to select a location. The location field shows all locations you own, you select the one for which this contract should be valid. That's all the preparation that is necessary. You can now click the Send Changes To Server button. this seals the contract and guarantees that the values can not be changed.
Once you found a partner for the contract, you must give this partner a copy. You do this by selecting the other character, then double clicking the contract. This finishes the contract with the name of the partner and creates a copy which is placed in the room at your feet. The other partner can now pick up his copy of the contract and you are both in business.
If any of you two wants to terminate the contract all you have to do is destroy your copy of the contract. The other contract is destroyed automatically and the contract is dissolved.
When the character who owes the payment doesn't have the required money, a message is stored in the contract. The contract owner should look at them every day and see if any contract didn't pay it's daily payment and then decide on his own what to do. The system doesn't force any consequence on a contract that didn't pay the last day. It is up to the players to decide.
This type of contract is made between a bar owner and a character who is supposed to work in the bar and do simple work. The employee does not gain may special rights in the location, but he gets some. Mainly he is able to exchange time locks in the doors. This is with the idea in mind that characters want to rent out rooms for sex and this can be done by the contract partner.
This contract is given to a prostitute by her pimp. It basically ensures that the prostitute pays a fixed amount of money to her pimp for every customer with whom she engages in a job. The requirement for this is, that the contract is made in a designated street location. These locations are well known prostitute hangouts and customers and hookers know these places and gather there.
This contract does not use the location field in the contract, because the pimp does not own the public places where the pimp contract is utilized.
These locations can be told from the "Filthy Washbowl with Semen Stains" in the street. these are objects generated by the server in two locations of each district of low morality. As long as the morality of the district stays low, the locations will be unchanged. If the morality changes to High Morality, the washbowls disappear, so only Low Morality districts have designated prostitution location, regardless of the prostitution laws. Once the moral drops again, the system will create two new locations but in different streets. The locations are always streets that are not patrolled by NPC guards.
Only prostitution jobs closed in this location pay money to the pimp. Without this, there are no pimping XP benefits. Besides the additional XP gained from a contract, there is no benefit for the prostitute and it might require a little pressure from her pimp to make sure she doesn't skim off the top, but that's also true for brothel contracts. The two street locations per district might be a little tight, but then, the pimp is entitled to try to chase away other prostitutes.
This contract works similar to the street contract, except that it works in a bar the pimp owns. The prostitute must commence in the bar for the contract to be valid for this job. After that the prostitute can leave the bar with the customer to have sex with him or stay in the bar, it doesn't matter. Other than that, the contract works the same way as the street pimp contract.
This contract is given to a number of characters. The salary field is not used. This contract is basically a deed for a show fight. Everybody who holds the employee part of such an contract can attack any other holder of such a contract in the location without flashing or without having an assault crime generated if he KOes the other character. Permakill still creates a murder crime. These contracts are used for entertaining show fights, tournaments or whatever.
This contract is given to characters who are paid to have sex in public to entertain the patrons of a bar. The payment in the contract is paid to the employee every 10 minutes during which he has sex under the following conditions:
If that is the case for 10 continuous minutes, you receive the 10 minute payment. Every spectator in the bar increases the rewarded XP a little. Furthermore, if that happens in a bar, which means the contract is not for a private home which is also possible, there is a chance that one of the following happens:
Beware that Sex Show performers make less and less XP when they continue to perform without break. the XP made is reduced by 10% every 30 minutes. Resting for a while restores the XP making potential. Also the XP that customers receive goes down over time if the same performer continue to act. A break will restore the amount of XP paid to spectators over time. Beware that pure kissing doesn't count as sex act and will not pay anything.
A stripper contract is similar to a life show contract, in fact it is nearly identical. The difference is that instead of having sex, you must assume a dance posture for the 10 minutes to get a reward. Every spectator in the bar increases the rewarded XP a little. Furthermore you must take off one piece of clothing every minute. The best way for a stripper is to start with lots of clothing on, then dance and take of one piece every minute. Since this is a bit complicated, there are system messages that remind a stripper when its time to take of a piece of clothing. You don't need to perform correctly every single minute. If you miss a minute interval and don't take off a piece of clothing, all that happens is that the ten minute period is extended by a minute and it takes a little longer for you to get the reward.
To be successful as a stripper, just dance and take off clothing every minute, that's all. When you are naked, just put on the cloths again and start all over.
Beware that strippers make less and less XP when they continue to perform without break. The XP made is reduced by 10% every 30 minutes. Resting for a while restores the XP making potential. Also the XP that customers receive goes down over time if the same performer continue to act. A break will restore the amount of XP paid to spectators over time.
This and the next contract are not strictly entertainment contracts but they are listed here to complete the contract overview
These contracts are discussed in detail in the housing section. You enter the daily rent as price and the location where a room is rented out. The price is paid to the house owner at server restart every day.
